TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 4, 2004) – Sports Car Club of America, Inc. has submitted a request for proposal to nearly 30 United States road racing facilities for its Club Racing National Championship Runoffs®, beginning with the 2006 event.
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, which celebrates its 11th-consecutive season hosting the Championship event, is expected to be one of as many as 10 tracks submitting a proposal for the next three-year term. Mid-Ohio’s most recent contract runs through the 2005 season.
Circuits interested in submitting a proposal and not receiving an RFP should contact SCCA Vice President of Program Development and Operations Howard Duncan.
Proposals are due October 15, 2004. SCCA expects a final decision to be made in early 2005.
