Former Swedish Rally winner Harri Rovanpera will return to the sport at next month's Rally Mexico.
Rovanpera, who has not competed since completing his Skoda contract at the end of Rally GB in 2006, will drive a Group N Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX in the Rally of Nations element of the Leon-based event.
The 43-year-old Finn won Rally Mexico in 2002, when he tackled the event in a Peugeot 206 WRC the year before its inaugural inclusion in the World Rally Championship. This year's Rally Mexico is not included in the WRC calendar, but will return for next year.
Rovanpera is not the only Finn returning to rallying, as former Ford factory driver Toni Gardemeister will start the Rally di San Marino next week. Gardemeister will drive a Group N Subaru from the Tommi Makinen Racing stable.
