Valentino Rossi is once again sporting a one-off helmet for this weekend's race at Misano.
The Italian often uses different helmet designs or liveries for the Italian rounds, and the Misano track is close to his home town of Tavullia. This time, however, the Yamaha rider is making fun of himself after last week's crash in the Indianapolis Grand Prix, where he saw his 50-point lead cut by half by team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.
The eight-time champion's helmet shows the face of a donkey at the top, much like it displayed Rossi's own screaming face at Mugello last year.
The back of the helmet says 'The Donkey' in a way that resembles 'The Doctor' at the back of his overalls. Above it, there's even a translation in the dialect spoken in his own Romagna area: 'El Sumer'.
