Daniel Ricciardo will receive a five-place grid penalty in India after having to take a gearbox change following final practice.
The HRT driver ran into gearbox trouble after 16 laps this morning, leaving him slowest of all, 8.4 seconds off the pace and 2.4sec down on team-mate and home hero Narain Karthikeyan. Ricciardo is the fourth driver to be given a penalty for Indian Grand Prix qualifying.
Renault's Vitaly Petrov will take a five-place drop for colliding with Michael Schumacher in Korea, while both Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez were given three-place penalties for yellow flag infringements in practice yesterday morning.
