Daniel Ricciardo and Brendon Hartley have been appointed as the reserve drivers for Red Bull's two Formula 1 teams in 2010. Both men have been supported by Red Bull's young driver program and, after shining during the young driver test days back in December, the duo will share reserve duties throughout this season.
Red Bull announced that Australian Ricciardo, the reigning British F3 champion, and New Zealander Hartley will alternate the reserve driver duties on a race-by-race basis.
The drivers will sit in on team meetings, spend time with the current race drivers and familiarize themselves with how Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso work so they are ready for action in the event of getting called up to compete.
