SPEED.com's Robin Miller reports that IndyCar track designer Tony Cotman recently toured NOLA Motorsports Park, a new road course complex under construction outside New Orleans, to see whether it could be considered as a potential IndyCar venue for 2013.
"It's very flat, like Cleveland, and it's got a raised berm down one side so you can see all around it and that's good,” Cotman told SPEED. “But there's not a lot of infrastructure right now and it may be a year or two away from being ready for us."
Being prepared to accommodate multiple configurations, NOLA features a 2.3-2.75-mile, 12-16-turn road circuit that is 40-50ft wide.
