Sources told the Charlotte Observer and ThatsRacin.com that Penske Racing will fire Kurt Busch, driver of the team's No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge, with an official announcement to be made Monday.
A fan captured Busch unleashing a profanity-laced tirade at ESPN pit reporter Dr. Jerry Punch and a cameraman after Busch went to the garage early in the Homestead-Miami NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season finale. NASCAR fined Busch $50,000.
The team already had crew chief Steve Addington announce his departure for Stewart Haas Racing last week. There will be more to come on this story with the fallout of who would be in line to replace either Busch or Addington.
