SPEED.com reported Saturday that the American Le Mans Series and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series will soon announce an agreement for joint operations likely beginning in 2014.
SPEED's report says that specifics of the deal are not yet clear, but says it has been confirmed through multiple sources. It expects the announcement to be made on Wednesday in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Asked for comment by RACER.com, ALMS president and CEO Scott Atherton said only, "Nothing to add. All things in time. Focusing on this race."
