Renault is to hold an open day at its Formula 1 factory in Enstone on August 12 as part of the UK's National Motorsport Week.
The team will open its doors to fans for one day only, offering a tour of some of its facilities and the Heritage and Communication Centre where its collection of past F1 machines is kept, as well as attractions such as the team simulator and pit stop demonstrations. Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and can be reserved via the MIA website
Organized by the Motorsport Industry Association and the Motosport Foundation, National Motorsport Week is intended to introduce new audiences to UK motor racing and inspire more individuals to participate or seek a career in the industry.
"Fans who enjoy F1 on TV are only experiencing the tip of a vast motorsport iceberg," said the MIA's Chris Aylett. "Every weekend during the season, there are thousands of motorsport events around the UK they could watch live, assist with, compete in, photograph, report on for the media, etc.
"National Motorsport Week is our way of opening people's eyes to the huge range of activities that are available to them. The scope is endless."
