Robert KubicaPole Robert Kubica will delight his home crowd next month thanks to the Renault F1 Roadshow, which will visit the Poznan circuit. The event, which takes place on July 17, will give Kubica the chance to drive an F1 car at speed in his home country for the first time.

Kubica will drive last year's Renault F1 car, the R29, and complete some quick laps of the 2.5-mile circuit situated in western Poland.

"The chance to drive an F1 car in my home country is something that I've always wanted to do, so I have to say a big 'thank you' to Renault for making it possible," said Kubica. "Poland doesn't have its own grand prix, so this is the next best thing and I'm really looking forward to going home and seeing all the Polish fans. It will be the first chance for a lot of them to see an F1 car up close and I will try my best to show them how amazing these cars are."
