Renault has no plans to name an official replacement third driver, with Ho-Pin Tung still sidelined with the back injury he suffered in Hungary.
The Chinese driver suffered a small fracture to the lumbar vertebra during a hefty collision in the GP2 feature race at the Hungaroring.
Following a medical examination this week, doctors have confirmed he is making a good recovery but have ruled him out of a return to action just yet.
Tung will have another medical test before the next event in Monza, and it is not clear whether or not his DAMS team will field a replacement for this weekend's race GP2 race in Spa.
