Red Bull rear wingRed Bull Racing insists it will not rush its re-introduction of the F-duct, even though its straightline speed performance leaves it exposed to rivals running the system.

The team evaluated the blown rear wing concept during practice in Turkey but, despite some positive results, decided not to race it. Although the F-duct would have provided a good boost to performance in Canada this weekend, the team has elected not to try it again yet – and says it will only bring it back onto the RB6 when it is sure it will provide a benefit.

Team principal Christian Horner said: "We want to make sure when we reintroduce the system that it provides a guaranteed lap time benefit. In Istanbul we had a first look at it, and the initial signs were very encouraging. But we didn't feel that the system was refined enough yet to introduce it for racing usage. So the guys back in Milton Keynes are focused on reintroducing it for one of the forthcoming races."
