Sebastian Vettel made Castrol Rankings history with his Japanese Grand Prix victory last weekend.
Vettel's third win of the year left him in the number one position for the 29th week in a row and allowed him to break Jenson Button's record that has stood since March.
Mark Webber followed Vettel home to complete a Red Bull one-two at Suzuka and remained second in the Castrol Rankings as a result.
Fernando Alonso was the only mover in the top 10 this week, his third place in Japan helping him to overhaul Lewis Hamilton for fourth in the Castrol Rankings. Sebastien Loeb (3) is his next target.
Kamui Kobayashi's (59) entertaining run to seventh place in his Sauber earned him a nine-place rise and made him the biggest climber in the top 100. Seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher (42) finished one spot further up in his Mercedes and gained six spots.
By contrast, Renault driver Robert Kubica (13) lost a wheel while lying second early on and dropped a spot in the Castrol Rankings to NASCAR ace Kyle Busch (12). Virgin driver Timo Glock (152) spent half the race trying to get by Sakon Yamamoto's HRT and dropped 33 places, while his teammate Lucas di Grassi (148) failed to improve his position after crashing on his way to the grid.
Tony Stewart (23) gained a spot by winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Fontana. Kasey Kahne (33), was the big gainer as he made up five places by finishing fourth. Kansas winner Greg Biffle (36), though, retired early on due to an engine failure and slipped three spots.
