Kimi Raikkonen described the SS10 accident which cost him points on the Rallye de France as "stupid." The Finn was off the road for 37 minutes and slipped down the order from seventh to 50th position.
"We went off the road at basically zero speed," said the Finn. "It was so stupid. We got stuck on a mud bank with the car half on the road and half off the road. Eventually we had to get a rope to get the car back on the road."
The only damage to Raikkonen's Citroen C4 WRC from the the incident is a broken handbrake.
Raikkonen caught and passed fellow race driver Yvan Muller in the morning's penultimate stage. The Frenchman went off the road on SS11, damaging a brake calliper on his Citroen Xsara WRC.
