Graham Rahal has opened up the chance for fans to design his helmet for IndyCar's season finale at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

From July 18 to August 8, fans will have access to a pre-made helmet template where a unique design can be created. The rules and template are available online at GrahamRahalFoundation.org.

At the conclusion of the submission period, Rahal will select the top five designs and post them on GrahamRahalFoundation.org. Fans will then be able to vote for the winning helmet design from August 8 to August 15. When voting concludes, the design receiving the most votes will be painted by Art Rotondo (ArtRotondo.com), who provides the artwork for all of Rahal's helmets. Rahal will then wear the helmet at Auto Club Speedway on Sept.15.

Following the race, the Graham Rahal Foundation will auction the helmet at Celebrity.eBay.com to raise money for both of its charities, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer and SeriousFun Children's Network.

Rahal, who's been one of the most active in off-track activity since joining Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing, also spearheaded the Dan Wheldon Memorial Auction and organized a bus tour for fans to attend the Milwaukee IndyFest race at the Milwaukee Mile in June.
