IndyCar's Graham Rahal and ex-Formula 1 driver Mika Salo have become the latest drivers to confirm their spots at V8 Supercars' Gold Coast 600 in November.
Rahal, currently 10th in the IZOD IndyCar Series standings, will partner Rick Kelly, whose brother Todd had previously announced another IndyCar driver, Marco Andretti, as his co-driver for their Kelly Racing team.
"I was thrilled to get the call to participate in the event," said Rahal. "It's definitely a big thanks to the Kelly group for the opportunity. The Gold Coast has become one of the marquee motorsports events for racing drivers from all disciplines and to compete with one of the premier teams in the series in my first go at it is a real honour.
"Rick himself has a very successful history in the series, so I have a great guy to lean on to get up to speed as quickly as possible and hopefully we can deliver a quality result."
Salo, 45, who has raced sporadically in the Superstars series this year, will be reunited with Ford Performance Racing and its driver Will Davison, having taken a second-place finish with both at the Surfers Paradise event last year.
"I am really happy to be coming back to the Gold Coast to race with Will and FPR," said Salo. "I have unfinished business as it was great to finish second last year but we were robbed of a win on the Sunday when we got a puncture.
"Will and the team are going really well so far this season so I am very confident we can again be at the front."
