Graham Rahal will rejoin Sarah Fisher Racing for a one-off race at this weekend's Kentucky Speedway IZOD IndyCar Series round.
The two parties worked together earlier this year, when the then drive-less Rahal joined SFR for the St. Petersburg, Barber Motorsports Park, and Long Beach races, giving the team its best-ever result when he took ninth on his first outing. After a one-off appearance with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing at Iowa, Rahal subsequently returned to former team Newman/Haas for most of the rest of the 2010 season. But his deal with the squad was only a part-time one and did not include Kentucky. With Fisher's second car available this weekend as the race is not on Jay Howard's schedule, Rahal has agreed to another outing for SFR.
It was an easy fit for us to come together and make it happen," Rahal told USA Today. "When she mentioned it, I knew we could make it work.
"We've got an uphill battle, but that's all right. I'm certainly looking forward to being in the car."
