Olivier Quesnel, Peugeot, 2011Former Citroen WRC team principal Olivier Quesnel has joined JN Holding Group as competition activities director.

Quesnel replaced Guy Frequelin as the French manufacturer's WRC boss in 2007, but also oversaw Peugeot's endurance prototype program for two years until it was shut down at the start of the year. He his Citroen post in January this year but stayed in the PSA group as Peugeot Sport director.

OAK Racing announced on Monday that Quesnel will take charge "of international expansion within existing and future worldwide endurance championships, as well as the diversification of the team's motorsport activities." He will work alongside Sebastien Philippe, who retains his role as OAK Racing's general manager.

"The past four years have been magnificent as I was able to win almost everything on offer as part of a prestigious organization," said Quesnel. "The page has now been turned and a new, equally interesting challenge has been presented to me. I look forward to giving this ambitious young group – who have already produced great results – the benefit of my experience and helping them to reach the next stage in their development.

"I have no doubt that my association with Jacques Nicolet and his staff will be successful and that his group can become one of the major forces in endurance racing. This is our joint objective entering into the collaboration."
