Racing resumed at 8:39 a.m. ET in the Rolex 24 at Daytona following a one-hour, 45-minute caution flag for fog.
Scott Pruett went back into the lead in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target BMW Riley, 16.999 seconds ahead of Joao Barbosa in the No. 9 Action Express Corvette DP, Jordan Taylor in the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette DP and Richard Westbrook in the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP.
AJ Allmendinger managed to bring the defending race-winning No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley up to fifth place, one lap behind (after falling seven laps back in the early hours), while Alex Popow cut a right-front tire and fell off the lead lap in the No. 2 Starworks with Alex Popow Ford/Riley.
GT remains extremely competitive. Patrick Pilet currently leads in the No. 30 MOMO/NGT Porsche GT3, followed by the defending race-winning No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche GT3 of Richard Lietz and the No. 24 Alex Job Racing Audi R8.
David Donohue is now driving the GX-leading No. 16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman, maintaining a four-lap lead over the Bullet Racing Porsche Cayman of Darryl O'Young.
