Proteam to run third WTCC car in Morocco
World Touring Car independent team Proteam Motorsport will run a third car at the next round in Morocco for Italian Vito Postiglione.
Proteam is currently leading the independents' championship, with Felix Porteiro having taken the class victory in each of the four races so far.
Porteiro and George Tanev will be joined by 32-year-old Postiglione for the Marrakech street races, with further outings set for the upcoming European rounds of the WTCC.
Postiglione is stepping up to touring car racing following several years in Italian Renault Clio and GT racing.
"This is an opportunity I was waiting for since a long time and I wish to thank Valmiro [Presenzini, Proteam boss] for supporting me," said Postiglione.
"The program so far includes some of the European events, then we will evaluate my position in the championship and decide what to do."
