Alain Prost has renewed his working relationship with Renault, after becoming a brand ambassador for the French car manufacturer.
The four-time champion, who drove for the “Regie” early in his Formula 1 career and also won his last title in 1993 at the wheel of a Renault-powered Williams, will provide technical input to the company as well as represent it at events.
His first appearance in his new role was in Moscow on Thursday when he took part in a Race Stars event at the wheel of a Renault Duster.
Speaking about his new position, Prost said: "Renault's history is intimately linked to that of motorsport and I have a deep attachment to the brand, with which I achieved some of the greatest successes in my sporting career. I accepted this mission with pleasure and I intend to accomplish it with professionalism."
