Will Power remained the driver to beat in the morning session of Tuesday's second day of the IZOD IndyCar Series Open Test at Barber Motorsports Park, outside Birmingham, Ala. The three Team Penske cars set the pace on a cooler day in which the morning session was delayed by rain showers, with Power (1:11.964), Ryan Briscoe (1:12.503) and Helio Castroneves (1:12.676) topping the chart. Power's best was 0.54sec faster than his pace-setting time from yesterday.

James Hinchcliffe also impressed again for Newman/Haas, setting the fourth-fastest time at 1:13.045 on the 2.38-mile course, followed by Scott Dixon for Target Chip Ganassi Racing (1:13.277).

The test concludes for the IndyCars with a session from 3:15-5:15 p.m.
