Martin Plowman will be once again joining Zanardi Kart to participate in the Red Bull Kart Fight Powered by Rotax at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show today (Dec. 1) in Orlando, Fla. The race is one of the most popular events of the world's largest racing trade show.
The race will be run at 6:30 p.m. on a purpose-built track adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center, which houses the 700,000sq.ft. PRI show. The race will be televised at a later date. Plowman will be going up against an all-star field including NASCAR Sprint Cup star AJ Allmendinger, X Games star Tanner Foust, IndyCar's Ryan Briscoe, Alex Tagliani,Townsend Bell, E.J. Plowman credits karting with helping develop his skills for IndyCars. "Karting is true racing. It's challenging and grueling," said the Briton, who also recently competed in SuperKarts USA SuperNationals event in Las Vegas after wrapping up a three-race road and street course season in the IZOD IndyCar Series.
Plowman's karting exploits are is dedicated to the children of Snowball Express, a non-profit organization that serves the children of our fallen military service men and women.
