Auto GP championship leader Edoardo Piscopo will race in GP2 at Monza this weekend, replacing Johnny Cecotto Jr. at Trident Racing. Piscopo tested for Trident last winter and also has GP2 experience from the 2009/2010 Asia Series, which he contested with DAMS.
"I'm really happy to make my GP2 Series debut with Trident Racing at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza," said the 22-year-old Italian. "The track is really special to me, as I've always finished on the podium there in junior open-wheel competition.
"My goal is to improve as the weekend progresses, and try and make my way to the points. I know it won't be easy since I have less experience than most of the field."
