Spencer Pigot captured his second win of the USF2000 season in three races at the first of two race in the series' doubleheader at on the streets of St. Petersburg. Pigot's Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing teammate and the other winner so far this season, Matthew Brabham, was second.
Roman Lagudi, Luigi Biangardi and Trent Hindman completed the top five. They all moved up following a last-lap coming together between Neil Alberico and Matthew Di Leo.
RC Enerson claimed National Class honors, after passing Henrik Furuseth on lap 8. Enerson finished in ninth place overall in the 34-car field.
The series accomplished 21 laps completed in the half-hour race, a far cry from the 9 and 10 completed last weekend at the 3.7-mile Sebring International Raceway, which were races peppered with incidents.
