Dani Pedrosa, Honda, Jerez 2011Dani Pedrosa is beginning his rehabilitation today following the operation he underwent last week in Spain.

The Honda rider underwent surgery to decompress his left subclavian artery last Wednesday and will start his recovery in order to race in the Portuguese Grand Prix on May 1. Pedrosa had a medical check-up yesterday and the doctors who performed the intervention verified that the wound is healing properly, with no infection, and they expect to remove the stitches next week.

The Spaniard will today kick off his rehabilitation, which consists of a first stage of passive exercises of the left shoulder with the help of a physiotherapist.
