Tip of the RACER hat to race engine builder Paul Hasselgren, who turns 63 today. Hasselgren, whose Hasselgren Engineering company provides design, manufacturing, engine building and testing services for a wide range of motorsports and non-motorsports customers, was the very first subscriber to RACER magazine upon its debut in 1992.

While best known as a race engine supplier for a variety of racecar and engine types, Hasselgren also provides design and testing solutions for a wider customer base. Most recently, Hasselgren has been collaborating on high-efficiency engine research and development while continuing to support high performance engine customers in both modern and vintage racecars.

Hasselgren also provides design engineering solutions to recent non-engine customers for realizing new invention ideas.
