Alvaro Parente will make his Superleague Formula debut for FC Porto in his home race at Estoril next weekend.
The 24-year-old, who won the GP2 feature race at Spa last weekend, is looking forward to representing his home town club in Portugal.
"This will be a different challenge," said Parente. "I don't know the championship or the car, something that will make my job harder during the weekend. However, as usual, I'll give my best and I'll try to achieve a good result."
"I'm very happy to defend the Futebol Clube do Porto's colours. It has been my football team since I can remember. I think that Superleague is a good concept and I'm looking forward to driving the blue and white car. Besides, it's an opportunity to drive in Portugal, something that pleases me and hasn't happened since 2007."
Parente will take the place of Frenchman Tristan Gommendy, who won the second race at Donington Park last time out for Porto.
