GP2 race winner Alvaro Parente is to return to the series with Coloni from this weekend's Spa races. The 25-year-old Portuguese driver replaces Alberto Valerio in the team, for which he drove in last winter's Asia series.
"I know the team and I think that I'll have the conditions to try to get some good results," said Parente. "I'm looking forward to returning to Spa-Francorchamps and to being able to give some good results to Coloni so I can thank them for the trust that the team and the sponsors have in me,"
Parente, who has raced in Superleague Formula and sports cars this year, is currently unsure if his deal with Coloni will be extended beyond Spa.
"I'll race in Spa-Francorchamps, after that we will see what happens," he said. "I would like to complete the season, but that isn't in my hands."
