Jolyon Palmer GP2 Arden 2011

Jolyon Palmer will drive for the iSport and Addax teams during next week's GP2 Series test at Jerez.

The 20-year-old Briton, who failed to score a point in either the Asia or main series this season with Arden, will join up with iSport for day one of the test next Wednesday before moving to Addax the following day.

"Moving to GP2 was clearly a big challenge and everyone knows how difficult it is for first year drivers with the limited track time. However, Arden was a great team to be with in my first season and I have learned a huge amount," Palmer said.

"I was pleased to put in some encouraging drives but now I'm ready to step up my performance and I'm confident I can be very competitive in 2012, when I hope to continue in GP2.

"I am excited to be testing for both iSport, clearly a top team and frequent podium visitor, and Addax, who won this year's GP2 teams' championship. I have a great chance to develop, learn and prove my potential and am I grateful to both teams for providing the opportunity to join them."

Prior to graduating to GP2, Palmer – whose father Jonathan started 82 grands prix during his racing career – was a front runner in Formula 2 and finished second in the 2010 championship to Dean Stoneman.
