Jolyon Palmer will drive for Carlin and Addax at next week's GP2 test at Barcelona.
The 20-year-old Briton had a tryout with Addax at Jerez last month, and will spend the first day of the Barcelona test with the champion team. He will then switch to Carlin for the second day of the test.
"I'm happy to be back at Addax after a good run at Jerez and I'm looking forward to working with Carlin for the first time. They have proven themselves to be quick in their first season of GP2."
Palmer, the Formula 2 runner-up in 2010, competed in GP2 with Arden this year, but did not score a championship point. Ninth place in the Valencia feature race was his best result.
