Sebastien Bourdais may not be the only Peugeot Le Mans racer appearing in IndyCars this season. SPEED.com reports that the Frenchman, who raced in Champ Cars prior to its merger with the Indy Racing League, is in discussion with an unnamed team to race a limited schedule in this year's IZOD IndyCar Series – but that if it happened, it would be in preparation for a full-time IndyCar drive in 2012.

“I'm actually not permitted to discuss the details, but if it happens, it could be a pretty big deal,” Pagenaud told SPEED.com. “If it does happen, it would be a partial season for this year, with a full season the following year. It's where I want to be, and where I've wanted to be since Champ Car ended."

Earlier this month, former Dale Coyne Racing revealed it was pursuing a deal with four-time Champ Car World Series champion Bourdais to run a limited campaign of road course races with the team.
