O'Neill returns to BTCC at Thruxton
Former race-winner Paul O'Neill will make his delayed return to the British Touring Car Championship in this weekend's Thruxton race.
O'Neill is racing a Tech-Speed Motorsport Honda this year in his first full-time drive since 2003, but had to miss the Brands Hatch season-opener due to commitments elsewhere.
"I'm really excited about the weekend ahead," said the 29-year-old. "It's a good opportunity for me to get back on track and I think we have a real chance to bring home some good results.
"I think it is a realistic aim to get both cars into the top ten and with the reverse grid in race three, anything could happen.
"The car is really good and Thruxton is a circuit where I have gone well in the past, so I have to aim high. I know my last outing in the BTCC didn't
quite go to plan, but I have nothing to prove and will be going out there to give it my all."
O'Neill joins Martyn Bell, who took two top ten finishes at Brands Hatch, in the Tech-Speed team.
