Sebastien Ogier's co-driver Julien Ingrassia will be fit for Rally Sweden despite injuring his arm in a high-speed crash on the Monte Carlo Rally.
The French duo were providing one of the shocks of the rally, as Ogier ran as high as fourth in his Volkswagen-run Super 2000 Skoda Fabia. But that impressive run came to an end with a big crash on Thursday, in which Ingrassia suffered the injuries as the car hit a tree on his side.
"It was a sixth gear crash," said Ingrassia. "We took a cut, which threw the car across the road. We hit a barrier and spun into the trees, and I hit a tree in my door. I made myself small like a ball, but my arm hit something. Maybe the elbow bone has chipped, but it will be fixed next week and nothing will stop me for Sweden."
