Sebastien Ogier will give the Volkswagen Polo R World Rally Car its official debut at the Race of Champions on Saturday night.
The Frenchman is scheduled to begin serious testing of an interim version of the car in the near future, with VW yet to decide upon its final specification of the machine until further running has been completed. The RoC display, which will come during the interval between rounds of the Nations' Cup at Dusseldorf's Esprit Arena, will be Ogier's first public appearance as a VW driver.
Ogier signed for VW last month and will contest a full WRC season in 2012 at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia S2000, running with the manufacturer's junior team.
