Evgeny Novikov will drive the third factory Ford entry in next weekend's Rally GB in place of Khalid Al Qassimi.
With Al Qassimi having to miss the event due to business commitments, Novikov has got the nod to step across to the Abu Dhabi-branded Fiesta in his place.
"It's a hugely exciting opportunity to step into Khalid's Fiesta RS WRC for the final WRC rally of 2011," said Novikov. "The Wales road surfaces can be very challenging in rain and fog, so I'm hoping for clear conditions and targeting a strong finish in support of my teammates, who are competing for the drivers' championship."
Novikov returned to the World Rally Championship with Stobart Ford this season after a one-year absence, but he switched to an independent Citroen for the last round in Spain to try out the rival DS3, although he always insisted it would be a one-off before returning to Ford.
Stobart will still field three cars in Wales, with Mads Ostberg able to extend his program to join fellow regulars Henning Solberg and Matthew Wilson.
