The model now comes complete with full carbon fiber bodywork and has a curb weight of less than 2,645lbs. The previous light blue prototype tipped the scales at 2,755lbs.

Noble managing director Peter Boutwood told Autocar that the fit and finish of the car “had to be seen” and the previous blue model “was not representative in quality of what customers will buy.”

“The light blue car was only ever a prototype,” he said. “It's all finished now and is ready to be sold.”

Boutwood said he had around 50 potential customers – some definitive – who had paid small refundable deposits on a waiting list to buy an M600 and the British manufacturer was having “loads of inquiries every day” about buying the car.

“I'm not selling any until I've let buyers drive it and see it for real,” he said. “So many people treat it as a racecar and it's not, so I want to showcase it as a road car to anyone who buys it.”

Initial production at Noble's Leicestershire factory will yield one unit per month, although Boutwood said this could be ramped up to three units per month should there be sufficient demand.

Like the prototype, the M600 is powered by twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 Yamaha engine producing 650hp and 602lb-ft of torque. It can get from 0-60mph in just 3.5sec and reach an estimated top speed of 225mph.
