Audi has confirmed it will retain its successful Le Mans 24 Hours driver lineup for its assault on the French endurance classic in 2011.
After unveiling its new challenger, the 3.7-liter V6 TDI-engined R18 coupe, tonight Audi confirmed that the Le Mans-winning crew of Mike Rockenfeller, Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas will be retained in 2011.
Andre Lotterer/Marcel Fassler/Benoit Treluyer and Allan McNish/Tom Kristensen/Rinaldo Capello will also be part of the team that will again take on Peugeot.
Audi motorsport chief Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich said: "We had our three cars on the podium [at the 2010 Le Mans], so this is a team that deserves another chance. We can assume we will gave the same team in 2011."
Ullrich was unable to confirm Audi's full Intercontinental Le Mans Cup lineup, but Kristensen, McNish and Bernhard are set to be part of the squad.
