The # 7 Peugeot 908 has dropped down the order following a pitlane collision with the Pescarolo-run customer Peugeot 908 in the first round of pit stops at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Pedro Lamy was released from his pit box into the path of Jean-Christophe Boullion, who was arriving for his stop in the #17 car. Boullion made contact with the back of Lamy's car.
The bodywork punctured the #7 car's left rear tire, which blew out on the Mulsanne Straight as Lamy was making his way back to the pits.
The safety car has been scrambled so that the debris from the blowout can be safely cleared from the track. Lamy is already one lap down and is still making his way back to the pits for repairs.
