TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 5, 2005) – Driven in the shadow of Oregon’s Mt. Hood, the Portland Grand Prix, Round Eight of the 2005 SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Championships, is on SPEED Channel Sunday as the high-horsepower rides of SPEED GT, the world’s most competitive road racing series, tackle Portland International Raceway.

The race will air at 3 p.m. (EDT) and offer viewers another chance at winning a set of Toyo Tires and a trip to the SPEED World Challenge season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, in Monterey, Calif.

The series lived up to its billing in Portland last weekend as the lead changed multiple times, between multiple drivers, before the checkered flag flew on the 33-lap race.

During Sunday’s show, watch for the Toyo Tires Driven to Perform Sweepstakes camera car and identify it on SPEED Channel’s Web site (www.speedtv.com) for a chance to win a set of Toyo tires and become registered for the grand prize of a trip for two to the Oct. 14-16 SPEED World Challenge finale in Monterey, Calif.
