The Riley DP3G made its on-track debut Monday at Daytona International Speedway, joining the new Corvette as the third generation of Daytona Prototypes in on-track running.
Michael Shank Racing premiered the car with A.J. Allmendinger and John Pew behind the wheel of the team's No. 60 Ford-powered Riley. While this was not an official test, there were several others invited to the session, including both Action Express Racing Corvettes and the SunTrust Corvette, adorned in a new orange and white livery, in DP.
Starworks Motorsport picked up its new Riley but did not test it, with the expectation of running at January's Roar before the 24 test Jan. 6-8.
Rick Ware Racing had five drivers behind the wheel of its Porsche GT3 Cup, although the team is slated to run the full Rolex Series season with a Ford Mustang and driver Jeffrey Earnhardt.
