RML Chevrolet driver James Nash will return to the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone this weekend, after missing the last round at Knockhill for budgetary reasons.

The 23-year-old driver, who lies 18th in the championship, believes the Silverstone National layout will play to the strengths of the Lacetti, and is confident of having his most successful BTCC weekend yet.

"The Chevrolet looked pretty handy at Knockhill, and that was a tight and twisty track - characteristics that don't necessarily appeal to the Lacetti," said Nash.

"On the other hand, the National circuit at Silverstone is wide and benefits from two fast straights, which is where the Lacetti really excels.

"The car handles well under braking so this will also be key to success at the weekend. I've no doubt this could be the best circuit yet for the Lacetti."

Nash has yet to confirm if he will be able to complete the season with the team.
