Yamaha test rider Katsuyuki Nakasuga will replace the injured Jorge Lorenzo during this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix. The Spanish rider missed the Australian Grand Prix last weekend and will also be absent from Sepang race after he injured a finger in a crash during the warm-up at Philip Island.
Nakasuga, 30, will be making his MotoGP racing debut this weekend. Apart from being Yamaha's test rider, Nakasuga is competing in the All Japan Road Racing Championship, JSB1000 class, and is currently third in the standings.
A decision on Lorenzo's participation in the final race of the season at Valencia will be made within the next two weeks.
