Former grand prix driver Shinji Nakano will make his FIA World Endurance Championship return with the ADR-Delta team at Fuji next month.
Nakano, who raced for Prost and Minardi in Formula 1, will drive ADR-Delta's LMP2 class ORECA-Nissan 03 alongside team regulars John Martin and Tor Graves at the Japanese WEC round on October 14.
The sportscar regular is returning to the series for the first time since making his sixth Le Mans 24 Hours appearance with the Belgian Bousten team in June.
ADR-Delta team manager Simon Dowson said: "We are very pleased to welcome Shinji to ADR-Delta and we are really looking forward to working with him. We are proud that we will have a Japanese driver in our car for the Fuji 6 Hours."
ADR-Delta, which is running just Martin and Graves at this weekend's Bahrain round, has yet sign a third driver for the WEC finale at the Shanghai circuit.
Robbie Kerr and Jan Charouz have both filled the seat over this year's WEC.
