Munnich Motorsport Mercedes World GT 2012

Munnich Motorsport will switch from Lamborghini to Mercedes machinery for this year's GT1 World Championship. The race-winning German team will again compete under the All-Inkl.com banner, as it did in 2011, but has confirmed that the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 will form the basis of its program.

"The two years of construction and the great success of the format for our team speak their own language," said team founder Rene Munnich. "We will continue to be there and are convinced that the GT1 World Championship is also with the new regulations in 2012 a success story for everyone involved.

"We come back with two vehicles. However, we will switch to a premium manufacturer and this year with two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 cars."

Munnich finished fourth in the teams' championship in 2011 with Markus Winkelhock and Marc Basseng winning at Zolder and Nicky Pastorelli/Dominik Schwager taking victory at Navarra. Munnich said that he expects to announce his drivers soon.
