The Baltimore Grand Prix has announced a partnership with M&T Bank, representing the first bank to sign as a sponsor. M&T Bank is "raising the green flag" on the Baltimore Grand Prix. The partnership will include M&T signage on the race course, branding on print and electronic promotional material, and M&T green flags distributed to fans near the start/finish line.

"We are very excited to have M&T Bank as one of our sponsors," says Jay Davidson, President and CEO of the Baltimore Grand Prix. "This partnership is significant as it ties one of our leading institutions into this new and exciting event for our city."

The inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix is scheduled for Sept. 2-4, and will encompass a two-mile temporary street circuit traveling through the heart of Baltimore's downtown, past the scenic Inner Harbor and around Camden Yards. The race weekend will feature both the American Le Mans Series and IZOD IndyCar Series.

"The race is going to bring excitement, national visibility and robust economic development to Baltimore and M&T wants to be a part of supporting that," said Atwood "Woody" Collins III, president of M&T Bank's Mid-Atlantic division. "We're looking forward to helping make this inaugural event a big success and a yearly event that brings pride to the community. "

As part of the partnership, M&T is donating 50 tickets to the event to local non-profit organizations, including Boys Hope Girls Hope and Paul's Place Outreach, so that participants in these programs will be able to enjoy world-class racing.

M&T is the official bank of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Running Festival, and also supports the area's Port Discovery, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage, the National Aquarium and many other organizations.
