Lotus factory driver Johnny Mowlem will race for the British manufacturer's representative in North America at Petit Le Mans later this month.
The 43-year-old Briton, whose primary race program with Lotus this year has been in International GT Open, will race Alex Job Racing's Evora GTE in the American Le Mans Series finale on Oct. 20. He will share the factory-supported GT class car at Road Atlanta with team regulars Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler.
Mowlem said: "I raced against AJR many times when I was a regular in the ALMS, but I've never raced with him. I've always been impressed by the job Alex and his team do, so I'm delighted to finally get the chance to drive for him.
"As a factory Lotus driver it was always a given that at some point I would join AJR and its program. I did the bulk of the early development on the Evora in Europe last year, but I know how much extra work AJR has done to develop the Evora further this season. I am excited to get a chance to see and feel that for myself."
Mowlem has raced Porsche, Saleen and Ferrari GT cars in the ALMS since its inception in 1999. His outings in the series so far this season came at the wheel of Dyson Racing's Lola-Mazda B12/60 LMP1 machine.
