MotoGP will reintroduce its three-practice format for the final two rounds of the 2010 championship at Estoril and Valencia.
Friday morning practice – which had been removed as part of the 2009 cost-cutting measures – was reinstated for the first visit to Aragon this weekend to give riders a chance to learn the circuit.
The move was received positively in the paddock so although the forthcoming Japanese, Australian and Malaysian Grands Prix will all see just the standard two practice sessions before qualifying, the Friday morning session will return from Estoril.
As was the case this weekend though, there will not be any extra track time. The Friday morning session will be 45 minutes, and the Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and qualiying sessions will all be reduced from 60 to 45 minutes.
