MotoGP has moved the 2013 German Grand Prix back one week to its original date of July 14. It is the second time the round has been shuffled: it was originally slated for the same weekend in the provisional calendar released earlier this year, but was then moved forward one week to the 7 July in order to avoid a clash with the Formula 1 calendar.
With F1 governing body the FIA announcing last week that the German Grand Prix would be moved forward to July 7, Dorna has now opted to return the Sachsenring back to its original date, thereby avoiding a clash.
MotoGP organizers had to reshuffle the early rounds of 2013 back in November, when a proposed Argentinean Grand Prix fell through. The Sachsenring has a deal to host MotoGP through to the end of 2016.
