The Tech-Speed Honda driver suffered knee ligament damage in a fall and has been instructed to rest for the time being by doctors. "I've been carrying a back injury since my accident at Snetterton last season which I'd just sorted out and I was training hard to make sure I was in the best shape possible for the second half of the season," said Bell.

MG racer plans BTCC move

Paul Luti is planning to graduate to the British Touring Car Championship next year with his own team, Dreadnought Racing. The 26-year-old Scotsman, who has been a regular race-winner in the Rover Metro Championship and the MG Trophy, wants to purchase an MG ZS from championship leading team WSR for 2010. Depending on finances, Luti's squad could receive technical support from WSR, which built and ran the ZSs for the works MG squad in 2002-03 and then on an independent basis for the next three years.
